Mike Andrews sets the wheels in motion for make a smile lottery by becoming the first player to join in support of Wessex Heartbeat.
Mike, from Southampton volunteers for Wessex Heartbeat and has been involved with the charity from the start. Now retired, he used to run a business providing technical support for shows and that is how he first got involved, as Wessex Heartbeat approached him for his services. Mike now volunteers his time to help in whatever way he can.
Speaking of joining, Mike said: “make a smile lottery is a smaller user friendly lottery that’s not a lot of money to play. I signed up straight away. It’s a great honour to be the first player; I’m looking forward to winning! ”
The make a smile lottery team are very excited to have their first player and hope more will follow and the number of players in the draw grow and grow! A dedicated team of fundraisers are already out and about in the Wessex area signing people up for the weekly draw.
