A Day to Show Support

Armed Forces Day is a day to show your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces Community. It recognises the work that members of the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force, as well as Veterans, Cadets and Armed Forces families all play in keeping the UK safe, at home and abroad. This year it takes place on 24th June 2023. 

A Charity Giving Back

One charity who will be celebrating this day is our partner Blesma, The Limbless Veterans Charity. They are a national charity that helps serving and ex-service men and women who have experienced loss of limb, use of limbs, sight, speech or hearing, either during or after service.

They provide practical, emotional and financial support to injured veterans and their families and widows as they rebuild their lives. 

They have helped so many people just like Frank and Nik, giving them confidence and support when they needed it the most!

Last year Blesma helped provide:

• 2,725 limbless veterans and widows with direct support. 
• 1,325 grants to help our veterans with the additional costs of disability.
• 21,770 welfare visits, contacts and communications by their support and outreach officers.
